Google has become too powerful a force and may end up adversly effecting the health of IT.

Google has become extremely powerful in a relatively short period of time, and history books show us that in general, this combination usually leads to disaster. Google's dominance has crushed in so many areas competition before it ever had a chance to compete. They have already started to take actions that appear to be abusive of their position and I'm very concerned Google may end up hurting the IT industry more than it helps, not unlike Microsoft has done.
