I can't wait until Microsoft releases their next wave of bug ridden junk to put the final nail in their own coffin. Cheers to Yahoo for not giving into that money hungry giant. Let it die with GM!

Microsoft is a computing juggernaut, but it ain't quite ready to roll over and die just yet. Don't get all cocky just because Bill Gates has effectively retired from the company... one thing he said many years ago is "a PC in every house" and that is one thing he can claim a success on.

Despite the mess that his operating system [Windows] is in sometimes, that's because of design faults leaving it less secure, and cyber-scum causing us hassle and mayhem, but it created an industry - the merits (or otherwise) of this can be discussed elsewhere, but it's still a strong business. Microsoft Office is still the predominant productivity suite in its class.
