Debate still clouds the internet about Obama's comment that the police "acted stupidly" in the case of Sergeant James Crowley vs Henry Louis Gates.
Nobody disputes that police brutality and sometimes overbearing of power exists in today's modern society, but perhaps it is not always fueled by racism. Although Obama pointed out that racist elements still fuel these problems at times, he made no direct comment stating that it was the case in the Gates issue.
However, he has come under great scrutiny as the leader of America, to make such comments that would possibly inflame the issue. After it became apparent that he did in fact inflame the issue with his comments, Obama set out to calm things down and use the situation as an example of the gentleman's way of dealing with race; Talking about the issue with all those involved over an ice cold beer.
Decision time!
If you think that Obama's approach left little to be desired, but his finish was in good taste, character, and may serve the country as an example to deal with these everlasting hot points in modern day culture, vote "Agree".
If you think that Obama's move to have the two men meet and discuss the issue over a couple of cold beers cannot rectify his former comments nor help America move through the race issue any more effectively, vote "Disagree".

Barack Obama's handling of the so called "Gates Gate" was overall positive in the end.
